The museum is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday and Monday. The museum is also closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. However, check the museum’s website for any changes.
Tips for going to Hill Aerospace Museum?
1. The gift shop is pretty good and decently priced. Definitely visit it. (Plus all proceeds to go the museum). You have to buy some astronaut food. It was actually really good!
2. You can spend a lot of time or a little time there. There are so many planes to see and things to read about! This is the view from the balcony overviewing the many plans in one hangar!
3. There are planes both indoors and outdoors. There is also more than one hangar inside – don’t miss the second one. The entrance to the second hangar is in the corner and kind of hides.
About Hill Aerospace Museum
The museum was founded in 1981 as a part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program and first opened in 1986. It moved to its current facility in 1991. The museum exhibits more than 90 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles on the grounds. The collection also includes a wide variety of uniforms. munitions, an assortment of aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, and thousands of other historical artifacts.
