Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point

Grandma is taking us to a museum. “What!?” My 6-year-old exclaimed. “Museums are BORING!” Not this one.  And boy was I right! The Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Points was AMAZING and my 6-year-old agreed.

We were at the Museum of Natural Curiosity for over 2 hours and we didn’t get a chance to see everything!

When you walk in you immediately see a big rainforest with a playground immersed in it. An airplane hangs in the sky. And my 10-year-old said “This place is HUGE!”

Where is the Museum of Natural Curiosity?

The museum is not by the main part of Thanksgiving Point but is back by the children’s garden and just north of the golf course. It is located at 3605 Garden Drive Lehi UT.

Moms need a break too!

Tips for Visiting the Museum of Natural Curiosity

  • If you don’t have an annual pass, plan at least 3-4 hours so you can see a lot of it.
  • Bring a towel or second outfit for the water section. Or just be wet the rest of the day. Or go to that section last.
  • Play! I followed my kids around the rainforest playground. It was a lot of fun. The slide was dark and long and fast – which surprised me.
  • The playground may be difficult for smaller kids, but there are several areas for kids 3 and under.
  • There isn’t a lot of room for a stroller – so my suggestion is to leave it in the car or at home.
